MsTiaraDean’s Story

As early as childhood Tiara suffered with chronic dry skin patches, also known as eczema. She treated this condition with numerous topical treatments, which was harsh on her skin. These chemical based treatments never completely healed her skin. In 2010, Tiara decided to stop chemically treating her skin. In doing so she also decided to stop chemically relaxing her hair.

"When I went natural I became more conscience of the ingredients I was putting on not only my skin, but on my scalp and in my hair as well”.

Tiara started formulating body butters and hair creams in her mother’s kitchen at a young age. She experimented with different butters, oils, and extracts.

Why Mango Butter?

Mango Butter in its natural form is generally an odorless off-white solid butter. When warm it becomes soft and melts into a light golden liquid. It is similar in form to Shea and Cocoa Butter but differs in fatty acid content. Mango Butter has a significantly higher content in fatty acid than Shea and Cocoa Butter. Mango Butter is rich in Vitamin A which is said to reverse the signs of skin aging and damage, Vitamin C which is key to the production of collagen (a protein that aids in the overall health of skin), and Vitamin E which is an natural antioxidant helping the skin to fight off bad bacteria. Mango butter also contains a substance called tannins, which gives it a dryer feel than Shea and Cocoa Butter. 

 Mango Butter is great for treatment of dry, damaged or peeling skin, sun burns, blemishes, wrinkles, eczema, dermatitis, stretch marks and other skin issues. Because Mango Butter is great for skin that means it is also great for the scalp. Mango Butter contains anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, antioxidant, and antibacterial properties. Mango Butter promotes cell regeneration, provides UV and bacterial protection, and it contains high levels of fatty acids making it an intense moisturizer. Using skin safe fragrance oils maintains the integrity the ingredients, while providing an irresistibly sweet fragrance.
